Michelle Glassbrook has always had a passion for plants and it was her interest in both plants and the human body that led her to qualify as a Biology teacher in 1986. She spent 5 years teaching Biology in South Africa and a further 4 years in Scotland. It was after her family moved to New Zealand in 2001 that she developed chronic fatigue and arthritic symptoms. Although a major setback at the time, this really encouraged her to pursue natural methods of healing. It was after going to see a naturopath, and subsequently experiencing the wonderful healing effect of herbs, that Michelle decided to study as a Naturopath. Michelle qualified as a Naturopath in 2008 and spent a further four months training as a Theratest Analyst Consultant.

She now runs a busy practice where she uses the Theratest machine as a diagnostic tool. Other tools in her clinic include herbs, cell salts, colloids, minerals, nutritional advice and Bach Flower Remedies. Each consultation lasts approximately an hour and includes: a full Theratest analysis to determine the energy output of organs; an analysis of possible genetic influences; recording of current symptoms and a herbal prescription. Depending on progress, clients are called back after 2 to 3 months and retested on the Theratest machine to see how and where the herbs have effected detoxification in the body.

How the Machine Works: Thousands of years ago, it was discovered that energy travels in lines along the human body, and modern technological methods using electronics, thermography and radioactivity, have actually been able to measure and map these lines. Along these lines are various points which have unique electrical characteristics which distinguish them from the surrounding skin.

It is onto these very specific electromagnetic points on your hands and feet that Michelle places the electrode of the Theratest Machine and is thereby able to determine the state of various organs (liver, heart, lungs, stomach, etc) in your body. A point which requires treatment is often tender and has a low electrical resistance.

This method of diagnosis is very accurate and Michelle is able to use the energy reading that the machine gives to discuss genetic influences, organs that are energetically low and can often predict an illness before it actually occurs.

Michelle loves what she does and is passionate about helping people on their journey to health and well being.

The Traditional Chinese concept of pain is that it is caused by a blockage in the flow of the energy in the acupuncture meridians. By using very fine, sterile, single use needles incredible results can be achieved for a whole range of conditions which includes, fibromyalgia, muscle cramping, pain and spasms associated with menstrual problems and migraines. Acupuncture can also improve circulation in type 2 diabetic patients as well as existing type 1 patients.

Murray is passionate about health and directing people onto a wellness path that suits their lifestyle and needs.
